With a diverse and extensive professional background in aviation, arts, & E-commerce entrepreneurial venture, Eka brings close to two decades worth of experiences, knowledge, and relevance to her practice.
Eka is a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association, holding Graduate Diploma of Applied Social Science and Master of Counselling. Her research studies Complex Posttraumatic Stress Disorder through a psychosocial development lens, particularly concerning the identity formation and emergence of symptoms in young adult survivors of childhood abuse.
Still, it is a lifetime of lived experience with complex trauma related to adverse childhood experiences and narcissistic abuse that remains her most meaningful and valuable triumph, asset, and contribution.
Eka’s framework to counselling is rooted in humanistic principles; emphasising freewill, dignity, and self-efficacy. She advocates for the person-centred, empathetic, and trauma-informed approaches to healthcare, focusing on understanding individuals’ holistic biopsychosocial-ecological configurations throughout their lives.
Additionally, Eka is soon to be Certified Clinical Trauma Professional: Complex Trauma (CCTP-II) and Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist. She is also a registered Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS on a proficient level known for her unorthodox, out of the box intervention strategies.
“The past may shape us, but it does not have to define us. I aim to help guide individuals toward hope and flourishing life.”
